Apartment Zero 2024

Last Thursday, Susan Proctor formed part of a panel at Apartment Zero, a sold-out event dedicated to continuing to solve the electrification of complex buildings, hosted by Electrify Canberra.

The panel consisted of industry leaders and representatives who are actively working (and some volunteering!) towards the electrification of apartment housing throughout Australia:

  • Mark Wilkins;

  • Will Anstee;

  • Michael Grady;

  • Robin Eckermann;

  • Kieran Lawton;

  • Daniel Carson;

  • Neil le Quesne; and of course

  • Susan Proctor!

The panel discussed everything ‘electrification’ from the installation of electric vehicle chargers and electric hot water conversion, to the value of depreciation and the capacity of the broader suburb network infrastructure. Needless to say, the event was informative, engaging, and incredibly educational.

Susan spoke to the where the owner’s responsibility ends and the owner’s corporation responsibility begins, the process and requirements for installing sustainable infrastructure, and touched on many more questions asked!
